Wilson Isidor scored his 10th goal of the season for Sunderland against Middlesbrough, just days after making his stay on Wearside a permanent one.

Isidor, since arriving in the North-East, has been a loved figure with his ability and personality proving to be a huge hit on Wearside.

However, as always, the saying “never fall in love with a loan player” haunted the Stadium of Light. But having now made his move permanent, Sunderland can look forward to many years with the Frenchman.

If Isidor can maintain his performance levels until the end of the campaign, the Black Cats have a real shot at achieving promotion.

Wilson Isidor can become a Sunderland hero

Ever since arriving, Isidor has excited supporters and his clear passion to represent the club has quickly seen him on his way to hero status on Wearside, with his antics at Middlesbrough certainly aiding that reputation.

Everything he does, he does with an immense amount of passion and desire and unlike players in the past, you can see just how much it means to him to be a Sunderland player.

That is always the first step to success on Wearside. As soon as supporters see that application, they will back you until the very end, as seen after the Frenchman arguably cost the Black Points two points against Burnley.

Having players like Isidor is a breath of fresh air and now that he has made his transfer a permanent one, that relationship with supporters is only going to grow.

It is a very exciting time to be a Sunderland supporter and if they can go on and achieve their ultimate goal of promotion, there isn’t a single player in this side who won’t be remembered for years to come.
