Sunderland ‘pave way for new arrival’ with Isidor done deal
Sunderland announced the permanent signing of Wilson Isidor on 1 February and it paves the way for an additional loan signing ahead of the deadline.
First and foremost, the permanent capture of the Frenchman as confirmed via the club’s X account is a major coup but the potential domino effect from that could be even greater.
While a club can sign as many loan players as they like, only five can be included in the matchday squad and prior to Isidor extending his stay, four were occupied.
With him now a fully fledged Sunderland player, the Black Cats now have two open spaces to add loan players to and that appears to be thinking from the hierarchy who may be looking to repeat the trick of the signing of Enzo Le Fee.
Sunderland could take advantage of the loan market
With two spots now open, Sunderland will undoubtedly be looking to add quality to their squad through the addition of loan players, likely from the Premier League.
Of course, the Wearsiders have had their success in the past through these means with the signing of Amad Diallo two seasons ago who proved to be a real hit.

With just days remaining in the transfer window, those in England’s top flights will be keen on securing temporary transfers for their young players in a bid to get them up to speed in senior football and Sunderland is the perfect place for that.
With several players already having departed the Stadium of Light, incomings are a necessity and for that reason, all eyes will be on the transfer window as the deadline approaches.
In other Sunderland news, Don Goodman released a fresh transfer admission for the Wearsiders.
