Crystal Palace dealt double injury blow ahead of Sunderland clash as ‘extraordinary’ star ruled out
Sunderland travel to face Crystal Palace on Saturday, with their chances of taking all three points greatly improved with the latest injury update.
Life back in the Premier League has got off to a good start for the Black Cats, with six points from their first three games.
However, Sunderland travel to Crystal Palace this weekend, in what will likely be their biggest test of the season so far.
Sunderland are underdogs for the clash against Palace, but will take plenty of optimism from the injury update to have emerged from Palace.

Adam Wharton and Ismaila Sarr set to miss Sunderland clash
Sunderland have a few injury concerns of their own heading into the game, but as per the latest reports from James Savundra on X, Crystal Palace certainly look as though they will be worse off.
That is because both Adam Wharton and Ismaila Sarr will likely miss Saturday’s clash through injury.
Wharton has earned himself a reputation of being one of the best young players in the country, while Sarr has very quickly established himself as a Palace regular, with hopes of filling the void left by Ebere Eze.
Sarr, who was once described as “extraordinary” by Jean-Louis Gasset, has started all three of their Premier League clashes this season, registering two goals in the process.
Wharton has also been a mainstay under Oliver Glasner, and his absence will be a big blow in their midfield.

The Sunderland stars ruled out of Crystal Palace clash
Dan Ballard will miss Sunderland’s game with Crystal Palace, though Le Bris remained hopeful that they will have him back for the following fixture against Aston Villa.
Dennis Cirkin’s long-term absence is still ongoing, leaving questions over his future with just one year left on his current deal.
Romaine Mundle could return for Sunderland in October, and Aji Alese is slowly getting back to match fitness.
