Regis Le Bris shares Wilson Isidor admission as Sunderland make new signing
Regis Le Bris is relishing the opportunity to work with latest Sunderland signing Wilson Isidor.
Isidor’s arrival at the Stadium of Light was confirmed by the club’s official website on Friday (23 August).
The versatile attacker arrives on an initial loan from Zenit with the option of making that permanent.
Le Bris admits he is excited to link up with Isidor after missing out on the chance to do so with Lorient.
“Wilson is a versatile attacker who has the ability to play in many different positions,” Le Bris said.
“He is very good at running in behind as well as combining the play, so for us he will be very useful.
“I come from the same region of France as him, so we know each other even though I haven’t coached him before.
“I had the opportunity to work with him last season at Lorient, but in the end it wasn’t possible, so it’s nice to be working with him now at Sunderland.”
Sunderland continue to add to squad
There is plenty of doom and gloom in terms of the news that Jack Clarke looks set to head to Ipswich Town, but Sunderland are continuing to recruit wisely.
Isidor is not exactly a well-known name around these parts, but he is someone that Le Bris knows personally.
The Black Cats boss seems particularly excited about the 23-year-old’s versatility in attack, which will obviously come in handy.
Isidor hit 16 goals in 35 Russian Premier League appearances for Lokomotiv Moscow, which is a half-decent return for that division.
The hope is that he does not take time to settle in English football and that he can make an impact from the off.

Sunderland have made a superb start to the campaign, which they will hopefully continue when Burnley visit the Stadium of Light on Saturday (24 August).
If Isidor is available for that, he will no doubt be relishing the opportunity to quickly adhere himself to the fanbase.
