Wilson Isidor exit news could come with regret at Sunderland
Wilson Isidor looks destined to quit Sunderland this summer.
First and foremost, the Black Cats would not be in the Premier League had it not been for Isidor, who had an excellent debut season in England last time out.
However, his level of importance has been reduced in the current campaign, mainly due to the performances of Brian Brobbey.
With six goals, Brobbey has not scored as many as he would have liked, but as seen whenever he is not on the pitch, he has such an important role to play in terms of holding the ball up and getting others involved.
But his importance has limited Isidor to just a handful of substitute appearances with the Haitian international now said to be eying an exit from the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland may have regret over Wilson Isidor exit
If Isidor is to leave Sunderland, the Black Cats will make a healthy profit on him, having signed him for a fee in the region of £3.5million in January last year.
However, his value on the pitch could have been so much more if Regis Le Bris handed him the gametime he perhaps deserved in certain scenarios.
| Premier League | Isidor |
| Starts | 19 |
| Goals | 5 |
| xG | 4.47 |
| Shots on target | 16 |
Isidor averages 0.4 goals per 90 in the Premier League, which is actually the most of any player in the current squad.
Brobbey comes in at second with 0.32 goals per 90, while Chemsdine Talbi is next in line with 0.25 per 90.

But that in itself shows the value that Isidor could have had if Le Bris had given him more of a chance in games.
Isidor is just one goal behind Brobbey, who is the Black Cats’ top scorer, despite the fact that he has played almost 600 minutes less.
Where could Isidor go this summer?
Everton had been mooted with an interest in Isidor in January, though that move failed to materialise, mainly due to Sunderland’s asking price.
The Black Cats were said to have placed a £25m valuation on the striker.
Whether that interest remains is yet to be seen, though there will undoubtedly be suitors for Isidor in the Championship given his record within it last season.
Either way, he looks destined for an exit from Wearside this summer, and it could be a situation that poses a lot of what-if questions given the stats behind his performances this season.
