What Granit Xhaka did moments before Chemsdine Talbi’s winner has Sunderland fans losing their minds
Regis Le Bris continues to prove Premier League fans wrong with Sunderland, after yet another win on Saturday.
Chemsdine Talbi scored dramatically for Sunderland as they beat Chelsea 2-1 with a 93rd-minute winner.
Sunderland were always the underdogs against Chelsea, but Le Bris‘ game plan came off perfectly.
Brian Brobbey has received deserved praise for his involvement in Sunderland’s last-gasp winner, as the Dutchman provided the match-winning assist for Talbi‘s effort.
Granit Xhaka has been phenomenal for Sunderland, and bossed the midfield at Stamford Bridge, as Mackem fans are ecstatic over what their skipper was spotted doing just moments before Talbi’s goal.

Granit Xhaka was celebrating before Chemsdine Talbi took his shot vs Chelsea
Le Bris has been praised, as Sunderland now look miles away from relegation, and a push for European football could really be on the table for the Black Cats.
Xhaka has played a big part in Sunderland‘s thrilling start to the season, and has fans buzzing even more after he was spotted celebrating even before Talbi’s shot went in, which you can watch in the video below:
One Sunderland fan added: “Xhaka knew even as the ball was rolling to Talbi.”
Another Sunderland fan said: “Xhaka’s reaction even before the goal goes in,” with an added love heart emoji.
Xhaka’s first Sunderland goal is coming
There’s no doubt that Xhaka has already established himself as a fan favourite at the Stadium of Light.
He does the dirty work for Le Bris’ men, but has also surprisingly been a great outlet for creating goalscoring opportunities for Sunderland.

While at Arsenal, Xhaka scored some memorable goals for the Gunners in the Premier League, with many coming from distance.
So far for Sunderland, Xhaka has remained pretty reserved when it comes to taking a shot on goal, with stats suggesting he has just one attempt on goal almost every other game.
It feels like Xhaka’s first Sunderland goal is just building up to be something special. Could we see a Xhaka goal from long distance against Newcastle in December?
