Advic stated that the agreement would set the record for the most expensive goalkeeper sale in Allsvenskan history, and the player is in England for a medical.
Why Sunderland signing Ellborg makes sense
Robin Roefs is the Black Cats' undisputed starting goalkeeper at the moment, starring since moving to the English top-flight.
He may well attract interest from bigger clubs in the summer, and the club may struggle to keep him around, depending on the types of offers that come in.
Therefore, it makes sense to bring in a talented goalkeeper, who can be a potential replacement in the future.
