Tottenham vs Sunderland result predicted by supercomputer

Sunderland are back on the road for the first time in 2026 when they take on Tottenham.

Sunderland’s 0-0 draw wth Man City saw the Black Cats extend their unbeaten home run in the Premier League, though most of their concerns have emerged away from home.

Based on away fixtures alone, Sunderland sit 13th in the Premier League, having won just two of their nine encounters on the road.

A trip to Tottenham on Sunday provides an opportunity to change that, especially given Spurs’ form at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Sunderland underdogs vs Tottenham

While Regis Le Bris is already a candidate for the Manager of the Season, Thomas Frank has been under plenty of pressure at Tottenham, and the main reason behind that is their results at home.

Tottenham have won two games on home soil this season, which is the fourth-worst home record in the Premier League, with only Burnley, West Ham and Wolves recording the same or fewer wins.

However, that is expected to change this weekend, with Spurs predicted to beat the Black Cats.

Via Opta‘s supercomputer, Spurs have a 56.1 per cent chance of taking all three points, while the Wearsiders have a 21.2 per cent chance of victory.

Brian Brobbey can rewrite history vs Tottenham

Brian Brobbey has cut a frustrated figure in recent weeks, having missed some golden chances against Leeds and Manchester City, especially.

However, his all-round play has been phenomenal, and that is only amplified by the fact that the Black Cats lose their presence up top when he isnt playing.

With that said, the Wearsiders need Brobbey to start scoring regularly, having failed to find the net since Sunderland’s 3-2 win over Bournemouth in November.

If he were to do that against Tottenham, he would become the first Sunderland player to score against Arsenal and Spurs in the same campaign since Darren Bent in the 2009-10 season.

Dan Ballard could also achieve that feat, though it remains to be seen whether the Northern Ireland international will be in contention.
