Ben Cabango fires dig at Sunderland after Swansea win
Swansea City defender Ben Cabango scored the only goal of the game as the Swans beat Sunderland 1-0 on Saturday.
The Mackems have now dropped points in each of their last two games in the Championship, after being held to a 0-0 draw at Norwich on 8 April.
However, Regis Le Bris’ men are all but guaranteed to finish fourth in the second tier as they hold a 12-point cushion over Bristol City, while they are also seven points adrift of third-place Sheffield United.
But with just four games left to play, Sunderland will be intent on entering the playoffs in positive form.

Cabango criticises Sunderland’s performance against Swansea
With three wins in their last four games, Swansea have waved goodbye to their previous relegation worries and now sit 12th in the Championship.
Speaking via the Sunderland Echo, Cabango couldn’t help but take a dig at the Mackems, saying: “We didn’t really feel like they were that much of a threat, they didn’t create that many chances.”
That is despite Sunderland having more possession, shots, dribbles and corners as they dominated.

Sunderland must get back to their goal-scoring best
Sunderland have caught the eye with some of their attacking displays this season, such as their 3-2 victory over North East rivals Middlesbrough on 3 February.
Opponent | Result |
Millwall (H) | 1-0 W |
West Brom (A) | 0-1 W |
Norwich (A) | 0-0 D |
Swansea (H) | 0-1 L |
Le Bris’ men have scored 57 goals in the Championship this term, matching the tallies of second-place Burnley and third-place Sheffield United.
But in recent weeks, the Mackems’ attacking threat has been lacking as they have scored on just two occasions in their last five games.
Sunderland did well to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat at Coventry on 15 March with successive 1-0 wins over Millwall and West Brom.
However, the Black Cats have now failed to score in both of their last two games and must return to their attacking best when they face Bristol City on 18 April.
With the likes of Enzo Le Fee returning to full fitness in recent times, all eyes will be on the Frenchman to make a huge difference in the final third.
That may be critical to any future success.
