Supercomputer predicts what’ll happen in Sunderland vs Huddersfield
Sunderland host Huddersfield Town in the second round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday.
Regis Le Bris’ side are looking to bounce back after Sunderland suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss to Burnley at the weekend.
Sunderland welcome high-flying Huddersfield to the Stadium of Light, where they’ll be hoping to progress to the third round for the first time since the 2021/22 season.
The Terriers come into the fixture in brilliant form, having won four of their opening five League One matches.

Sunderland are clear favourites for Huddersfield clash
Despite starting the season on fire, it’s clear to see why Huddersfield are considered as huge underdogs ahead of this game.
With Sunderland spending over £100million on 12 new additions so far, it is not a shock that Opta Analyst are leaning towards one clear outcome.
The Black Cats have been awarded a 76.4 per cent chance of winning, while a draw at the end of 90 minutes is considered a 14.1 per cent probability.

New signings in line to make first start
Tuesday’s match gives Regis Le Bris a perfect opportunity to rotate, with one or two new names potentially in line to make their first starts for the club.
New signing Arthur Masuaku is yet to feature for the club since he joined Sunderland on a free transfer.
The former West Ham left-back has plenty of experience at this level and provides good cover for fellow new signing Reinildo.
Young Spanish striker Marc Guiu has already made a couple of substitute appearances and is in contention to start ahead of the match.
Signed on loan from Chelsea, Guiu can be a good rotational option for Eliezer Mayenda in the cup competitions specifically.
