Sunderland will look to continue their unbeaten Premier League run at the Stadium of Light as they take on Wolves on Saturday.

The Black Cats sit ninth in the table, having made a fantastic return to the top flight under Regis Le Bris.

Wolves are rock-bottom of the Premier League, and remain winless from their opening seven matches.

Sunderland favourites to beat Wolves

Despite losing their last match to Man United 2-0, the Mackems come into the Wolves game with a spring in their step.

The same can't be said for the visitors, who have been pegged back by late goals in their last two matches against Tottenham and Brighton.

According to Opta's supercomputer, Sunderland are more likely to defeat Wolves on Saturday.

  • Sunderland have been given a 40.4 per cent chance of claiming all three points
  • Wolves have a 33 per cent chance securing their first win of the season.
  • A draw has been given a 26.6 per cent probability of occurring

A win for the Black Cats would see them move 12 points clear of 20th-placed Wolves, and would mark a huge step towards their goal of achieving survival this season.

The onus is on Wolves to attack the newly-promoted side, yet Sunderland will be happy to sit back and hit them on the counter.

Defensively, Sunderland have been outstanding, and it will take a lot from Wolves to break down the resolute backline.

However, Sunderland could be without one of their key players after what happened during the international break.

Noah Sadiki could miss Sunderland vs Wolves

Sadiki missed DR Congo's win against Togo on Friday, and it has since emerged that he has left the camp to return to Sunderland for treatment on a sprained ankle.

The 20-year-old joined the Back Cats from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in a deal worth up to £17.5million.

Sadiki has been incredibly promising for Sunderland, starting every single game under Le Bris.

With midfield partner Habib Diarra also injured, Le Bris might have to put together a makeshift midfield against Wolves.
