Sunderland vs Aston Villa in the Premier League: Kick-off time and how to watch

Sunderland will be striving to keep the momentum going when they face Aston Villa at home on Sunday.

The Black Cats are sitting pretty in the top half of the Premier League table, having taken seven points from a possible 12.

Regis Le Bris’ side claimed a point against Crystal Palace after a valiant goalkeeping performance from Robin Roefs.

While the Wearsiders will fancy their chances at the Stadium of Light, a wounded Villa team should not be underestimated.

Sunderland vs Aston Villa is a 2pm kick-off

Sunderland must defy the odds in the Premier League if they are to achieve survival at the first attempt.

The Black Cats have toppled West Ham and Brentford at the Stadium of Light already this season, but they are set to face an opponent whom they have struggled against in the past.

Indeed, the Wearside club have only beaten the Villans once in their last 12 meetings, although they did reign victorious the last time the pair met in the North East.

Unai Emery’s men are yet to find a goal in the Premier League, but he does possess an array of attacking talent who will be looking to make amends.

The clash between the two teams will commence at 2pm BST, in what will be Sunderland’s first televised match of the campaign.

Sunderland’s UK fans can watch Sunday’s game live

Sunderland’s encounter with Aston Villa could be a critical one, as a win would put Le Bris’ side well on the road to safety.

The Wearside faithful have been waiting patiently to watch their team on television, as all four of their opening league matches kicked off at 3pm.

However, they will now have the opportunity to cheer the lads on in front of the screen because the match will be aired at 2pm on Sky Sports Main Event.

Sunderland recently announced that more of their matches have been selected for broadcast, with their November fixtures against Everton and Arsenal to be aired.
