Sunderland v Swansea result predicted by supercomputer
Sunderland play host to a Swansea City side in somewhat of a similar position to themselves this Saturday.
Sunderland’s 0-0 draw away to Norwich wasn’t the most pleasing on the eye, though it was enough to secure them a spot in the Championship playoffs come the end of the campaign.
In fact, a fourth-place finish is almost sealed, given the seven-point gap from those above them, and a 13-point advantage over Bristol City.
However, despite this encounter meaning little for either side, both will be keen to end the season on a high, and for Sunderland, momentum could be key to success.

Sunderland must maintain unbeaten run against Swansea
While the draw against Norwich left many disappointed, it did mark a third game in a row without defeat, though the Black Cats have only scored two goals in that period, with both coming from Trai Hume.
However, maintaining this run could be the worst-kept secret when it comes to succeeding via the playoffs, and according to the latest Opta supercomputer prediction, the Wearsiders are expected to do just that.
Championship | W | D | L | P |
Sunderland | 21 | 13 | 7 | 76 |
The Black Cats have been awarded a 58 per cent chance of securing all three points, making them the favourites for the clash by some margin.
Just a 20.2 per cent chance remains for a Swansea win, while a draw is forecast to have a 21.8 per cent chance of coming to fruition.

Regis Le Bris has Sunderland in an excellent position
To have secured a playoff spot with five games to go is an achievement in itself, but Sunderland have it in them to go one step further, and return to the Premier League.
If the Black Cats can find a way to return to the form that brought them plenty of success earlier in the season, very few teams will be able to stop them, though performances as of late have left a lot to be desired.
As for now, the main focus will be on each game as it arrives, starting with the clash against Swansea.
