Sunderland v Swansea preview: Team news, lineups, supercomputer prediction

Sunderland are set to take on Swansea City as they prepare for the Championship play-offs at the end of the season.

The Mackems are on the verge of securing fourth place in the Championship, as they are 13 points clear of fifth with five games remaining, having already secured at least a place in the top six.

Regis Le Bris will now have his full focus on the play-off semi-finals. Sunderland are nine points behind second place, and are unlikely to be able to make up that ground in the remaining matches.

Sunderland v Swansea Preview

Swansea are nine points clear of the relegation spots, and are on the verge of securing Championship survival, meaning both teams have little jeopardy heading into this clash.

Sunderland will want to keep their momentum going before the play-offs, but may also see the next five games as an opportunity to rest key players.

They have an advantage no one else in the play-off spots has in this regard, with the teams above all scrapping for automatic promotion and no team below secure in their place.
