Sunderland urged to take action as Arsenal tickets go on sale – ‘Shocking’
Sunderland tickets are hotter than ever right now as the Black Cats bask in what has been a glorious start to life back in the Premier League.
Sunderland may have lost 2-0 to Manchester United at the weekend, but Regis Le Bris’ men are still ninth with seven matches played.
Indeed, Sunderland’s 11 points from six matches was last matched in 2012-13 by a newly-promoted side in West Ham.
And while there is now a two-week hiatus between matches, Sunderland fans are already excited for some exciting fixtures down the line.

Sunderland fans not happy as Arsenal tickets go on sale
Sunderland are still predicted to finish away from the Premier League relegation zone this season.
The Black cats host Wolves at the Stadium of Light on their return to action on 18 October, before then travelling to Chelsea.
Everton and Arsenal are then next up on home soil, with Sunderland announcing the latest details for those fixtures at the Stadium of Light.
However, fans were not happy when the Black Cats posted a link to the Arsenal tickets via X on Tuesday.
That is not so much because of the price of tickets, but because of the way the e-ticketing website operates.
One fan said: “Can you please sort out the online ticketing. Available areas appearing, then disappearing, giving area locked messages and then available again, site crashing, lagging, select seats you want then when adding to basket its coming up with seats not available. I have given up. Shocking.”
This experience was echoed by many others.
Another disgruntled fan said: “The system is broken. Areas appear, disappear then reappear. You select tickets and then can’t pay. You need to do something about this.”
Other fans also wanted Sunderland to act and fix the system they use, which is clearly not fit for purpose.
Sunderland face tricky next batch of fixtures
Wolves at home is statistically the nicest fixture Sunderland could have on their return to action, but games against Chelsea, Everton and Arsenal – teams seventh, eighth and first – will not be easy.
Fixture | Date |
Wolves (h) | 18/10 |
Chelsea (a) | 25/10 |
Everton (h) | 3/11 |
Arsenal (h) | 8/11 |
It is easy for fans to get carried away at this stage, but it must be remembered what the main aim for this season is, and that is to stay up.
If Le Bris’ side can still find themselves seven points above the relegation zone after those upcoming games, that will be a healthy buffer heading into the November international break.
The Stadium of Light will be packed out for each of those home games, even if fans have aired their displeasure at the way the booking system works.
