Sunderland urged to sign £8m star after confirmed news from Rangers – Exclusive
Rangers have announced that one of their regulars is leaving at the end of the season, and Sunderland have been told to take a look at him.
Sunderland have a huge game at Wembley to attend to before any decisions are made on the recruitment front, though some planning will already be in place.
Regardless of the outcome in their clash with Sheffield United, this summer is going to be huge for them, and it is imperative that any decisions made are in the best interest of the club.
With that in mind, the Black Cats have been mooted as a potential landing spot for a Rangers loan star who is set to exit Ibrox.

Rangers regular mooted for Sunderland transfer
With Jobe Bellingham potentially on his way out, and several others undoubtedly going to be of interest in what will be a hectic summer transfer window.
However, regardless of what league the Black Cats are in next season, they will be in need of several top-quality additions, and Derek Ferguson thinks that they should be taking a look at Glasgow, and in particular, at Vaclav Cerny.
Cerny was superb for Rangers this season, but he was only on loan from Wolfsburg and his reported £8million valuation meant a permanent move to Ibrox was not possible.
Speaking to Mackem News, Ferguson said: “He’s done enough at Rangers to suggest a number of clubs would take him in the Premier League.
“He’s handled the pace of the Scottish Premiership very well and has probably been Rangers’ best player in Europe as well – he’s stood out a mile.

“You’d be daft not to look at him if you’re Sunderland. He’d add quality to many squads in the bottom half of the Premier League, top half of the Championship, so he’s definitely one who will be well sought-after by English clubs.
“I’d imagine the coaching staff at Rangers will be getting a few calls from people asking for more about him.”

Cerny would be an excellent addition for Sunderland
Aside from Patrick Roberts, who has had his own struggles at Sunderland this season, the Black Cats don’t have anyone else who can play right-wing naturally.
The Wearsiders will already be looking to upgrade on Roberts next season, and Cerny would be an excellent addition if a deal can be done.
However, any decisions made on that front will be put aside for now, ahead of Saturday’s play-off final.
