Sunderland told to brace for Noah Sadiki offers as DR Congo boss speaks out

Noah Sadiki’s performances this season for Sunderland will have caught the attention of others.

Sunderland are in the European football conversation according to some pundits, with a lot of their success found as a result of their summer business.

Sadiki was one of 14 players who made the move to the Stadium of Light, and has certainly been one of the best performers this season.

Sunderland’s midfield has been outstanding this season, but that could come at a cost in the near future.

Noah Sadiki will attract interest

Sadiki has been immense for Sunderland this season, and when he jets away for AFCON in December, his absence will certainly be felt.

He is set for international duty with DR Congo under French manager Sebastien Desabre, who has consistently picked him in his starting 11s.

In an interview with Africa Foot on 10 November, Desabre hailed the 20-year-old, but suggested that it may not be long until big offers start flying in for him.

He said: “It’s quite possible. The big Premier League clubs have a lot of money, and they can make a big offer that’s hard to refuse.

“That said, I think it’s in Noah Sadiki’s best interest to stay at Sunderland for at least one more season. He’s still getting to grips with the Premier League, and we need to give him time to adapt. It’s early November, and it’s going to be a long season.

“There will probably be a point where Sunderland experiences a dip in form. It will be interesting to see how Noah adapts if that happens.

“In my opinion, he’ll soon be among the best in his position in the Premier League, and when you look at his progress, there’s no doubt he’ll play for a big club one day. But he’s only 20 years old; he still has plenty of room to grow. Let’s give him time.

Sunderland have no need to worry for big clubs circling

In recent years, you couldn’t hold a grudge against a player for wanting to better his career with a move away to Sunderland, whether it worked out or not.

But the reality is now that Wearside is one of the best places to be playing your football in England, and that feeling will only grow stronger moving forward.

The atmosphere is at an all-time low, and fans have fallen back in love with the team that they so often felt disconnected from for years.

That feeling will be echoed by the players wearing the famous red and white, and very few of them, if any, will be agitating for a move away from the Stadium of Light anytime soon.
