Sunderland ‘set to finalise sensational Marcin Bulka swoop’ in new transfer update

OCG Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka looks set to become Sunderland’s second signing of the summer.

Sunderland will be fully aware of the importance that this summer transfer window holds, and given some of the recent links, it seems as though they are prepared to make some serious statement signings.

Armand Lauriente is one of those to have been linked recently, with a recent report claiming that three new players are closing in on moves to the Stadium of Light.

One of those players is almost nailed on to be former Chelsea goalkeeper Bulka, with Fabrizio Romano issuing a rather promising update.

Bulka deal seemingly imminent as Romano issues update

Sunderland have already thrown up a major surprise this summer, after it was revealed that Florent Ghisolfi would be hired as their director of football, and they look set for yet another shock addition.

Nice goalkeeper Bulka looks all but set for a move to Wearside, with Romano stating that the deal should advance in the next few days.

Via Meczyki, he said: “Negotiations are ongoing between Nice and Sunderland regarding the transfer of Marcin Bulka.

“Sunderland hope that Bulka will agree to join their ambitious project, which they aim to realise in the Premier League. I think there are real chances of finalising this transfer in the coming days.”

Of course, after it was revealed there was interest, fans were straight online to check the upcoming flights, and noticed an interesting pattern over the next 24 hours.

A flight is due to jet out of Miami into Nice, before venturing to the North-East on Saturday. The significance of that? Bulka was recently seen on holiday in Miami, sparking some serious excitement on Wearside.

Ghisolfi influence already felt at Sunderland

While Ghisolfi is yet to be announced at Sunderland, he will already be having an influence on their potential targets, having built a relationship with Bulka throughout his time at Nice.

If this is the calibre of player that the Black Cats are going to sign, then they have every chance of avoiding the drop back into the Championship, though plenty more work will be needed.
