Tanganga is thought to have a £2million release clause, which would represent great value for the versatile defender.
Millwall’s Player of the Year made 40 appearances in the Championship and would certainly strengthen the Sunderland backline.
Tanganga can fit across multiple positions across the defence, making him an appealing target for teams looking to survive.
Sunderland are thought to be keen on adding Premier League experience to their squad, and the Tottenham graduate fits that bill.
He played 50 times for Spurs across all competitions before being released at the end of his contract.

Jose Mourinho is one manager who is certainly a fan of the defender.
