Sunderland new signing Reinildo Mandava set to break Premier League record
Sunderland have wasted no time strengthening in the transfer window.
Ahead of their return to the Premier League, Regis Le Bris brought in his fourth signing of the summer.
Reinildo Mandava has joined Sunderland from Atletico Madrid, signing a two-year deal.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed a successful career and won the Ligue 1 title with Lille before his move to Spain.
Now, his task will be to keep the Stadium of Light club in the English top flight.

Reinildo set to be the first Mozambique star to play in the Premier League
Reinildo will come into Sunderland with plenty of experience which could be vital this season.
The left-back played for Atletico Madrid over 100 times and was with the Spanish outfit at the Club World Cup earlier this summer.

On top of this, the 31-year-old is an experienced international and has 49 caps for Mozambique.
This has raised concerns that Reinildo could be at AFCON later this campaign, limiting his contribution.
However, Sunderland have pointed out on their Instagram (8 July) that if the left-back makes just one appearance in the Premier League, he will become the first ever Mozambique star to play in the division.
Le Bris cannot end signing spree here
Now that Sunderland’s fourth signing of the summer is secured, Le Bris cannot end this spree here.
The Black Cats’ goal of staying in the division will be one of the toughest tasks in their history. However, it is doable if more quality additions are made.
Le Bris has done well to sign the players he has so far this summer, and now this needs to be quickly followed up.
Thankfully, the Black Cats are still looking for more players, with stars such as Armand Lauriente linked to Sunderland.
Hopefully, more transfers will become official over the coming weeks ready for the start of the new 2025/26 Premier League season.
