Sunderland line up deals for Algerian duo as Anis Hadj Moussa transfer update emerges

Sunderland want to sign Yacine Titraoui and Anis Hadj Moussa this summer.

That is according to a report from La Gazette Du Fennec, which states that the Black Cats explored the possibility of signing Moussa in the winter.

The Feyenoord winger has been in fine form across all competitions this season, and is one of two Algerian stars that the Wearsiders are keeping tabs on, with Titraoui the other.

Sunderland made an attempt to sign the central midfielder last summer, but failed, with a new approach said to be ready after the end of the current campaign.

Titraoui is valued at around £7million, and will have just one year left on his deal at Charleroi come this summer.

Sunderland may have missed a trick with Anis Hadj Moussa

Moussa would be a smart signing by Sunderland, but his form this season will certainly make it a hard deal to do.

The Algerian has 11 goals and six assists for Feyernoord across all competitions, including one in the Champions League, showcasing the quality he has to offer.

But given that form, the Black Cats are highly unlikely to be the only club in for him this summer, and how they end the campaign may determine how likely a move will be.

Should Sunderland manage to return to their form from the early stages of the campaign and qualify for Europe, then their chances of bringing Moussa to Wearside would increase tenfold.

Yacine Titraoui deal could be on for Black Cats

Titraoui has often found himself linked with Sunderland, as well as Leeds United.

The 22-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a fine campaign with Charleroi in Belgium, where he has scored four goals in 26 Pro League appearances.

However, a move to the Premier League is said to be appealing to him, which may put the Black Cats in good standing.

As mentioned above, it is likely to require a fee in the region of £7m to sign him this summer, which would be more than reasonable for a Sunderland side who will no doubt be looking to add plenty of depth to their squad.
