Sunderland lead race to seal discount Bischoff transfer amid Brighton collapse – Exclusive

Sunderland are hoping to conclude a deal to sign highly-rated Clement Bischoff this summer.

Being a Sunderland supporter this summer is certainly cause for excitement, though as of yet, there has been very little movement on the transfer front.

The Black Cats’ only arrival so far is Enzo Le Fee, though there is plenty of expectation that that will change as they approach the start of the Premier League season.

Plenty of incomings are expected, and the Wearsiders have set their sights on the exciting Danish prospect, Bischoff.

Bischoff attracting interest after U21 Euros display

Following links to Kyiv striker Vladyslav Vanat, Sunderland appear intent on bolstering their attacking lineup for the new campaign.

Bischoff has been linked to Sunderland, and after impressive performances while away on international duty, it’s unlikely they will be the only ones watching his movement, though Toke Theilade expects his departure from Brondby.

The editor-in-chief at VilfortPark.dk told Mackem News: “I think that £5.1million is a good price for all parties, actually. Sunderland would get him at a significant discount compared to the £6.9m Brøndby almost got from Brighton in the spring.

“No official reason has been given for his move to Brighton collapsing, but apparently, he couldn’t come to an agreement on the contract. It was highly surprising since he even travelled to Brighton, so everybody assumed it was all sorted.

“I expect him to move this summer. There is a lot of interest. Wolverhampton have also been looking at him, and he shouldn’t lack suitors.

“Moving directly to the Premier League is a big move, and risky too, but he is a talented lad, and I think he’ll end up going there. Sunderland seem to be leading the race at the moment.

Sunderland in desperate need of new arrivals

In just a few weeks, Sunderland will begin their pre-season preparations and will undoubtedly want to have plenty of their business done before then.

Regis Le Bris will need time to work with his squad and ensure everyone is on the same page to have a real go at competing in the Premier League next season.
