Sunderland in race against time to seal Bertrand Traore deal as Brian Brobbey medical results emerge
Sunderland are looking to seal a last-minute deal to bring Bertrand Traore to the Stadium of Light.
It is now less than an hour that Sunderland have to agree on any transfers that they want to conclude before the end of the summer window.
Brian Brobbey and Lutsharel Geertruida are both still on course for Sunderland, while several exits could happen.
However, the Black Cats are working frantically to seal a deal to sign Traore.

Brian Brobbey set to sign as Sunderland lead late transfer hunt
According to Johan Inan, Brian Brobbey to Sunderland is a done deal, and he has now put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Stadium of Light.
However, they are working frantically behind the scenes to seal a late agreement for Traore, with delegations deep into negotiations.
Traore had an excellent first season at Ajax, scoring 10 times and registering eight assists in 49 appearances across all competitions.
His time at Aston Villa left a lot to be desired, though, with just eight appearances in the 2022/23 campaign, before joining Villarreal the following season.
Sunderland made an approach to sign Yaser Asprilla, but walked away as a result of the price, with Traore seemingly the alternative.
As things stand, that deal is looking somewhat unlikely, but Sunderland have shown in the past that they are capable of coming up with the unexpected, and this could be another case of that.
How long do Sunderland have to announce deadline day transfers?
The summer transfer window closes at 7pm in England, though there is still time after that to conclude deals.
As long as a deal sheet has been submitted before the deadline, Premier League clubs then have until 9pm to put the finishing touches on a transfer.
As for the announcements, many of those will arrive on Tuesday, given the late nature of many of the expected deals.
As many as 12 players could leave Sunderland between now and 7pm, showcasing just how much work is still left to do.
