Sunderland in hunt to sign ‘the next Alexander Isak’ amid latest transfer news
Sunderland may boast some top forwards in their ranks already, but they could be set to add their next talisman.
Eliezer Mayenda and Wilson Isidor both enjoyed fruitful seasons, with both scoring crucial goals in the play-offs.
However, if Sunderland want to compete in the Premier League, then they will need to add more firepower. Indeed, the Wearsiders have been linked with a striker who has numbers to rival Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.
Sunderland in hunt to sign Vladyslav Vanat
A move for Jordan Henderson seems to be high on Sunderland supporters’ agenda, but there is another man who will soon be turning heads.
The mere mention of Isak might send shivers down the spine of the Sunderland faithful. However, there is no arguing that the Newcastle United star is one of the best strikers in world football right now.
Therefore, signing an Isak of their own would no doubt come as a boost, and this could happen with Sunderland favourites to sign Dynamo Kyiv’s Vladyslav Vanat [TaToTake].
At 23, Vanat is just a year older than Isak was when he signed for the Magpies, and their goal tallies are not too dissimilar.

Prior to his move to St James’ Park, Isak scored 32 league goals in three seasons for Real Sociedad, bagging six in his final season.
As for Vanat, he has bagged 43 league goals in his last three campaigns for Dynamo Kyiv, netting 17 in the league last term.
Last campaign, Isak scored more goals, with 23 in the league, but the statistics tell you that he was not as prolific before his move to Newcastle.
Vanat can guide Sunderland to Premier League safety
While Sunderland will need more than a new striker to challenge in the Premier League, Vanat would be a solid start.
The 23-year-old’s numbers have improved season on season, and 17 goals in a league with fewer fixtures is admirable. Of course, the Ukrainian Premier Liga does not compare, but a goalscorer is a goalscorer.
Regis Le Bris could decide to partner Vanat with Mayenda or Isidor to forge a frightening attack, or he could play as a lone forward. Whatever happens, the Dynamo Kyiv man should be at the top of Kristjaan Speakman’s shopping list.
