Sunderland have ‘serious’ Enzo Le Fee concern after what happened v Hull
Enzo Le Fee has impressed since making the move to Sunderland, but a fresh concern has emerged ahead of the latter stages of the season.
A 1-0 home defeat to Hull City all but ended any hopes of automatic promotion for the Black Cats, but also ended their remarkable run at the Stadium of Light.
Prior to the defeat, Sunderland were one of just a handful of clubs to have gone unbeaten in home league encounters though the Tigers put an end to that.
Many on Wearside will be hoping that the home run is the only thing that Hull City ended, with concerns emerging in regard to Le Fee.

Regis Le Bris provides update on Le Fee after Hull defeat
The Frenchman, having been a standout performer at Sunderland since arriving, was withdrawn at the halftime interval against the Tigers with what was believed to be a hamstring injury.
Given his creativity and immediate importance to the team, it sent alarm bells ringing on Wearside and the initial prognosis appears to be far from positive based on the lack of information provided by the Black Cats boss.
Sunderland v Hull | Minutes played | Chances created | Passes (accuracy) | Duels (won) |
Enzo Le Fee | 45 | 3 | 23 (82%) | 5 (2) |
In quotes reported by the Sunderland Echo (22 February), Le Bris said: “Enzo’s problem is probably with his hamstrings. We will have to see whether it is serious or not tomorrow.”
Despite it being two days ago, there has been no update on the fitness of the Roma loanee, which could mean a whole host of scenarios.
If he is in fact to be absent for a lengthy period of time, it would be a huge blow to Sunderland and to their hopes of returning to the Premier League.

Romaine Mundle return comes at right time for Sunderland
If Le Fee is to be asbent for the upcoming clash with Sheffield Wednesday, which at this stage appears rather likely, it will pave the way for Romaine Mundle to make his first start since an injury sustained at the start of November.
Le Fee’s absence will certainly be felt, but with rotation needed, it serves as an opportunity for other players to step up.
If Sunderland are to achieve promotion this season, they will need the entire squad to contribute and showcase their worth to the starting 11.
