View: Sunderland have obvious Wilson Isidor decision to make

Sunderland are said to have the option to sign Wilson Isidor on a permanent deal at a bargain price and there has scarecely been an easier decision to make on Wearside.

Isidor has been an instant hit on Wearside and another goalscoring performance against Portsmouth on Sunday took his tally to eight for the season.

Earlier in the season, Isidor was lauded by ex-Oxford boss Des Buckingham with John Mousinho labelling him as one of the best centre forwards in the Championship (James Copley on X).

The best part? Sunderland reportedly have the option to sign him for just £3.5 million (Michael Graham) and given his performances this season, it is an absolute no-brainer.

Sunderland struck gold with Wilson Isidor signing

Striker has been a key word on Wearside for several seasons now ever since the departure of Ross Stewart but those concerns are now mild given the form of the Frenchman this season.

Isidor has been on fire since arriving on Wearside and he is only going to get better as he adapts to English football.

His finishing ability matched with his blistering turn of pace has caused issues for even some of the best defenders in the Championship and his catalogue of goals is remarkable.

If the Black Cats can sign him on a permanent deal for just £3.5m, there shouldn’t even be a question asked. Give him the contract.

While there’s a long way to go yet, if Sunderland were to achieve promotion, there are few doubts that he would be a hit in the Premier League.
