Sunderland have ‘major Le Fee concern’ ahead of Chamionship playoffs
Enzo Le Fee’s stay at Sunderland could come to an end once the current season is curtailed.
Regis Le Bris has been rotating his squad heavily over the last few weeks, with the aim of having his side fully fit and raring to go ahead of the playoffs.
Of course, that has come at a cost, with Sunderland now winless in their last four and suffering three defeats in that time, showcasing their lack of momentum.
Playoff success isn’t always determined by current form, though it can help, but a failure to win in the playoffs could have a drastic effect on the future of their French maestro.

Le Fee unlikely to stick around in the Championship
Le Fee has looked a level above since his arrival in January, and the Black Cats have an obligatory clause in his contract that would see him pen a permanent move to the Stadium of Light if they secure promotion.
However, if that isn’t achieved, it feels very unlikely that Le Fee will want to stay in the Championship, regardless of his relationship with Le Bris through their time together at Lorient.
Sunderland | Games | Goals | Assists |
Le Fee | 12 | 1 | 1 |
The Frenchman is far too good to be at this level, and he will undoubtedly have teams looking at him ahead of the summer.
Not only would a permanent deal for Le Fee seem unlikely, but Sunderland run the risk of losing several key players if they fail to make it back into the Premier League.

Le Bris set for toughest challenge yet as Sunderland boss
The playoffs provide some of the best moments of a season in the Championship, though also some of the most heartbreaking ones.
A 46-game season largely becomes redundant once the playoffs commence, and the best team over the course of 180 minutes and 90 minutes, respectively, prevail.
Le Bris needs to ensure that Sunderland are that team, and ahead of the final two games of the season, he needs to find a balance between fitness and form to do just that.
