Sunderland financial fine mooted as Enzo Le Fee image circulates – Exclusive
Sunderland’s terrible run of form continued as they ended the regular Championship season with a 1-0 home loss to QPR.
The Black Cats’ run of defeats now stands at four matches heading into the play-offs, while they are six without a win going further back.
Regis Le Bris will argue that it counts for little given that Sunderland have been assured of fourth spot for a while now, with a two-legged semi-final against Coventry City to come.
Nicolas Madsen’s fifth-minute goal ultimately proved the difference for QPR on another day to forget for Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, with Le Bris coming under some real heat.

Enzo Le Fee spotted without badge on his shirt
Enzo Le Fee played the full 90 minutes for Sunderland and many fans on social media were quick to point out that the attacking midfielder strangely did not have a club crest on his shirt.
Many questioned why he was allowed to play without the badge, which is of course against EFL regulations.
However, former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett said it may have been down to the Sunderland ace having to change shirts due to a cut.
Championship | W | D | L | P | GD |
Sunderland | 21 | 13 | 12 | 76 | 14 |
And because he had the EFL logo on his sleeve and a name and number on the back, it means a financial penalty is unlikely.
“It might be that he has somehow managed to get blood on his first shirt and spares might be limited,“ Hackett exclusively told Mackem News.
“The main point will not be the club badge, but if it has no EFL sleeve or number on the shirt, this will be reported to the league and Sunderland may face a financial penalty.“

Sunderland limp into play-off semi-finals
To say the pressure has been off Sunderland in recent weeks is a massive understatement, but that has not been for the better.
The Black Cats are in dire form heading into two truly massive matches over the next week or so, starting with a trip to Coventry on Friday (9 May).
Le Bris has a strong group to choose from, but he may already be second-guessing his selection for that Coventry game on the basis of what he saw against QPR.
