Sunderland fans will love what Trai Hume said about Newcastle
Trai Hume has already experienced a Tyne-Wear Derby with Sunderland and is fully aware of the rivalry at hand.
Sunderland are preparing to face Everton on Monday night, but the focus is already starting to shift to December, when Newcastle come to the Stadium of Light.
Debates over Granit Xhaka’s quality at Sunderland have already reignited the rivalry in the North East, and that will only grow as the clash draws closer.
However, comments made by Hume will add to the fire, and Sunderland fans will be lapping it up.

Trai Hume dismisses Newcastle in new social media footage
Sunderland had an excellent summer window, and as a result, very few of those who were regulars in the Championship are still playing consistently today.
However, Hume is one of them, and he has fared well with the step up to Premier League football, having started all nine of their fixtures so far.
With work underway ahead of Monday night’s clash against Everton, the Black Cats have been filming some training footage, including a short video shared on X of first-team players opening Topps trading cards.
Some of the reactions are comical, with some Sunderland stars getting cards of themselves, though it wasn’t the case for Hume.
Instead, he opened it to reveal a Magpies player, to which he said: “Newcastle, get out of here“, before discarding the card.
How did Trai Hume fare vs Newcastle?
The result may say otherwise, but Sunderland generally kept their North East counterparts at bay for the large part last time out, conceding an own goal and another from a sloppy second-half error.
However, Hume was generally fairly solid, especially when taking into account that he had nearly two years of development since.
Via FotMob, he won five duels against Newcastle, completing two tackles and making two clearances.
He completed 100 per cent of his dribbles and crosses in the game, while making 30 accurate passes at the Stadium of Light.
He and Dan Ballard will be the only two likely to feature in December who suffered the latest defeat, and will be looking to get one over on Newcastle.
