Sunderland fans puzzled after what Jack Clarke did vs Birmingham – ‘No greater injustice’
Jack Clarke was a fan favourite throughout his time at Sunderland.
Plenty has changed over the last 12 months, with Sunderland preparing for their return to the Premier League, while Ipswich had to settle for a point against Birmingham in their Championship opener.
One name to resonate with both supporters is that of Clarke, who, after two successful seasons on Wearside, made the move to the Tractor Boys in a transfer that was quite evidently pushed by his agent, Ian Harte.
The winger started for Ipswich against Birmingham, and fans were left saying the same things over and over again, and for good reason.

Harte to blame as Clarke’s career takes downturn
Since arriving at Ipswich, Kieran McKenna has shown an unwillingness to play Clarke in his natural position, and with each passing week, it appears more likely to be a move that he regrets.
Clarke | Games | Goals | Assists |
Sunderland | 94 | 27 | 21 |
Ipswich | 37 | 3 | 6 |
Harte certainly played a part in making the move happen and was constantly pushing the narrative throughout his time at the Stadium of Light.
From his last outing, his fortunes do not appear to be changing any time soon, and Sunderland fans have been left questioning why the transfer happened the way it did, and more so, why McKenna has not utilised him in his best position.
Sunderland need to show Harte why he made an error
Sunderland face West Ham this time next weekend and will be hoping to get off to a winning start.
Simon Adingra will feature on the left-wing, in a position that could have been occupied by Clarke had his exit from Sunderland not been forced.
Both parties are now heading in completely different directions, and the Black Cats’ is certainly the most favourable as of right now.
