Sunderland fans in full agreement over Wilson Isidor amid latest transfer links
Wilson Isidor will go down in Sunderland folklore history for his role in guiding the Black Cats back to the Premier League.
However, the French striker’s performances this season have not been up to scratch. It appears the jump from the Championship to the Premier League has been too much.
Throughout the winter window, the 25-year-old had been linked with a move away from the Stadium of Light, with Besiktas among those chasing his signature.
However, now, according to Football Insider, Everton are interested in Isidor, with the player reportedly pushing for a transfer.
That has left Mackems reacting to the news online.

Sunderland fans frustrated with Wilson Isidor
Brian Brobbey’s form has made it difficult for any of Sunderland’s forwards to get a look-in within Regis Le Bris’ plans.
For Isidor, he was handed a chance to prove himself in the FA Cup on Sunday against Oxford United, but once more, he failed to take it.
The French striker left fans disenfranchised by his performances, and opinions about him seeking a potential move away have now been coming out.
“His attitude seems to have changed over the last few weeks, and he isn’t putting the effort in,” one Sunderland fan said on X.
Sunderland are currently fighting for a European position, but after some poor results, everyone will take guaranteed safety too.
However, Isidor has not shown himself to be of Premier League quality so far. This is a common point of criticism from fans.
While many would be sad to see him leave Sunderland, the overarching feeling is that parting ways would be for the best following this campaign’s performances.
With Sunderland being drawn against Port Vale or Bristol City in the FA Cup fifth round, Isidor may have a few more chances to prove himself up north.
Against League One or Championship opposition, Le Bris may opt to give those fringe players more game time.
How much could Sunderland get for Wilson Isidor?
If the floated winter transfer fees are anything to go by, then Sunderland could be looking at a fee in the £20million range for Isidor.
When Besiktas were targeting the 25-year-old, their highest offer only reached £13m, with the Black Cats seeking closer to £21.6m.
If the player pushes for a move away, that could see Sunderland lower their asking price slightly; however, they are unlikely to accept a low offer as it stands.
The Frenchman still has two seasons left on this deal, following this campaign, with his contract expiring in the summer of 2028.
That means Kyril Louis-Dreyfus will be in no rush to accept a bargain bid for Isidor.
