Sunderland could strike loan deal for Chelsea star as transfer pitch revealed for Matteo Guendouzi
Sunderland may be in the market for loans come January.
Sunderland‘s only focus for now will be what happens on the pitch, with three crucial fixtures ahead for the Black Cats.
Liverpool host Sunderland on Wednesday, before the Mackems travel to face Man City and then return to home soil for the Tyne-Wear Derby in under two weeks.
However, it won’t be long until attention turns to the January transfer window, with plans already in place behind the scenes at the Stadium of Light.

Chelsea relationship strong after Marc Guiu dealing
Sunderland recruited 15 new players in the summer, though one of them returned after a few weeks on Wearside.
That was Marc Guiu, who was recalled by Chelsea as a result of an injury to Liam Delap and the exit of Nicolas Jackson to Bayern.
At the time, it seemed like a blow, but according to The I Paper, it may have opened up a new avenue for the Black Cats to attack in January.
It’s claimed that Sunderland now “boast excellent relations with Chelsea” and would be open to loan deals with the Blues.
Added to that, it’s reported that a source with knowledge of Sunderland’s recruitment plans has been informed of their pitch to targets, which includes a goal of establishing themselves as a top 10 club in the Premier League.

It’s likely that the level of ambition shown in the summer is replicated in January, with attacking arrivals expected.
Matteo Guendouzi update sparks more optimism at Sunderland
It’s also reported by I News that Matteo Guendouzi is keen on a move to Sunderland, despite reports from abroad suggesting otherwise in November.
Amid links connecting Conor Gallagher with a move to the Stadium of Light, it’s clear that the midfield will be bolstered in January, and the Frenchman is still a serious target.
The Black Cats are also said to have had scouts present at Primeira Liga games in Portugal.
However, what is clear is that Sunderland will be repeating a lot of the tricks from the summer that have since brought them plenty of success.
