Sunderland eye hotshot Ukrainian striker amid exciting £16.8m development

Sunderland are looking to bolster their attacking lineup next season with the signing of Vladyslav Vanat.

As of right now, Sunderland and everyone involved on Wearside will have their focus fully fixated on the Championship play-off final with Sheffield United on Saturday.

Only once the Black Cats know their promotion fate will they be able to truly intimate recruitment plans for the summer transfer window.

However, despite the lack of clarity over which division they will be in, Sunderland are still being linked with summer recruits, and Vanat is said to be on their radar.

Vanat on Sunderland’s radar ahead of summer swoop

Sunderland will be in for a busy summer transfer window, regardless of which league they are in next season, and the likelihood is that a new striker will be on the cards.

Wilson Isidor and Eliezer Mayenda have both enjoyed more highs than lows this season, but the lack of rotation outside of that has at times proven to be fairly costly for the Wearsiders.

Recruitment at the Stadium of Light is going to be crucial, and according to Mikhail Spivakovsky via the TaToTake YouTube channel, Vanat is on their radar.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant campaign in Russia with Dynamo Kiev, registering 20 goal contributions in just 24 starts, and he is believed to have a release clause of just under £17m [Futbol 24].

Sunderland need to recruit well this summer

Whether it’s another season in the Championship or a return to the Premier League, decisions made this summer are going to be crucial for Sunderland to find success next campaign.

With the likes of Jobe Bellingham linked with a move away, the need for signings is evident, and that will only be amplified if they make it back into the top flight.

For now, all focus will be on the Championship play-off final at Wembley, though work will already be underway ahead of the summer to ensure that the Black Cats are prepared for all eventualities.
