
Sunderland clinch £21.6m Brian Brobbey agreement as medical detail shared
Sunderland are edging ever closer to securing the signing of Brian Brobbey from Ajax.
The Black Cats have been forced back into the market after Chelsea reached an agreement for Marc Guiu to return to Stamford Bridge.
Sunderland identified Brobbey as a potential target and have moved quickly to secure the deal before the deadline.
Now, more details of the transfer have been revealed ahead of Brobbey’s move to the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland and Ajax agreed a deal for the 23-year-old to move to the Premier League amid the latest on Guiu.
The Spaniard is returning to West London due to the injury sustained by Liam Delap in the Blues’ win over Fulham.
That leaves Regis Le Bris short of options, but he is set to have more quality in his ranks after the update on Brobbey.
Now, Sunderland are understood to have now agreed a £26million deal in principle with Ajax for Brobbey, according to Sky Sports on 1 September.
They report that the fee is thought to be £21.7m plus £4.3m in add-ons, while he is expected to undergo his medical in Holland.
The most likely reason why he is set to have his medical in his home country is so that the deal can be completed faster.

How has Brian Brobbey performed for Ajax?
Brobbey has risen through the ranks at Ajax, but is now set to depart his boyhood club.
Last season, the Netherlands international endured a difficult campaign, notching just four Eredivisie goals.
However, the season before he bagged the best goalscoring figures of his career, with 18 league goals.
Brobbey has 56 goals in 163 appearances for the Amsterdam club, but is now set to ply his trade in the Premier League.
