Roy Keane accuses Gary Neville of bottling it with Arsenal and Sunderland comment

Roy Keane was not having what Gary Neville said about Sunderland’s clash with Arsenal on Saturday.

Sunderland are flying high in the Premier League, but the league leaders will be their toughest test to date.

Regis Le Bris‘ side secured a point last time out against Everton at the Stadium of Light, and they are looking to go one better against the Gunners on 8 November.

However, Neville may be a bit too optimistic with his prediction for the contest.

Gary Neville predicts Sunderland draw vs Arsenal, Roy Keane not having it

Neville has not been afraid to praise Sunderland for their impressive start to their first campaign back in the top-flight for eight years.

His latest prediction may be a bit over the top, though, as Mikel Arteta’s team are one of the best sides in the world.

Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast on 6 November, Neville predicted a 1-1 draw on behalf of himself and Paul Scholes.

He said: “They could get something, they are awkward, aren’t they, 1-1”

Keane responded, saying: “Sitting on the fence.”

What did Regis Le Bris say after Everton draw?

Le Bris was not happy with how his side started the game against the Blues last time out.

The French manager claimed that his side must improve going forward, but he thinks that the players can get there.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, he said: “What I can say is that Everton worked hard the first part of the game, they defended well, they ran everywhere and it was tough to break this pressure, so it’s a question now of level, we have to lift this part of our game, but I think we have this quality, but we are still a really young team, so we need experiences and with back and forth we will improve our level.”

However, he did concede that it was a good point considering the quality of the teams in the top-flight.

He added: “I think this league is so tough, it’s a good reminder of how hard it is to win a single point in that league.”

It will be a much harder task to get any points off the Gunners, who have started the season in fantastic form.

Arteta’s side have lost just once, and conceded only three goals all season, so Le Bris will be aware of how hard his mission will be.
