Romaine Mundle reacts as Bellingham gets first Dortmund goal after Sunderland exit
Jobe Bellingham may have left Sunderland several weeks ago, but that has not stopped the Wearsiders from being reminded of his quality.
Bellingham signed for Borussia Dortmund for a club record fee of around £31million, following in the footsteps of his older brother.
The 19-year-old made his debut for the German side in the FIFA Club World Cup in a 1-1 draw with Brazilian side Fluminense.
Now, Romaine Mundle has reacted to his first Dortmund goal, scored in his second appearance against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Germans’ 4-3 victory.

Mundle sends Bellingham message after Dortmund goal
The comparisons with his brother were always going to happen, but even Joey Barton has claimed Jobe is a brilliant player in his own right.
When he signed from Birmingham City, there was reason to be excited about the younger Bellingham, given his early career performances.
During his first season at the Stadium of Light, the teenager showcased his potential, but he has grown into a tremendous talent.
His last campaign was certainly his best, and he guided the Black Cats to promotion via the play-offs with some exemplary displays.
Having been named in the Championship Team of the Season, everyone knew he would leave at some point, and unfortunately for Sunderland supporters, that happened this summer.

Bellingham has wasted no time in making a mark for Dortmund, bagging his first goal for the Bundesliga club on his second appearance.
He chested the ball down with calmness to strike his half volley past the Sundowns goalkeeper, with a slight nick on the way through.
Bellingham shared a post on his Instagram page (21 June) thanking Dortmund supporters, with Mundle replying in the comments.
Mundle said: “Let’s go”, clearly in support of his former teammate.
Mundle has what it takes to rise at Sunderland
With Bellingham gone, there are sizeable boots to fill at the Stadium of Light.
Of course, Mundle plays in a different position, but he is primed to rise as a key character in the midfielder’s absence.
Mundle has grown into a key player under Regis Le Bris, and his equaliser against Preston North End is an example of the magic he can produce.
While the Premier League step-up will be tricky, the winger has the attributes to take his game to another level, and the ball is now in his court.
