Regis Le Bris must repeat unpopular Enzo Le Fee decision for Sunderland vs Crystal Palace

Enzo Le Fee has only started one Premier League game for Sunderland this season.

With six points from a possible nine, Sunderland have made a very good start to life back in the Premier League.

Off the back of Sunderland’s 2-1 win against Brentford at the Stadium of Light, the Black Cats travel to face Crystal Palace this weekend.

Sunderland are the underdogs for the clash at Selhurst Park, but a result could be achieved if Regis Le Bris repeats his decision from the previous game.

Enzo Le Fee must start wide for Sunderland

Last season, Sunderland supporters were left questioning the decision whenever Le Fee was utilised on the wing.

Granted, injuries often forced that decision, though the call to play him there against Brentford was purely from a tactical perspective.

It worked, with the Frenchman constantly getting on the ball and creating something out of nothing against a team that defended well on the transition.

Crystal Palace will do the same, and while the likes of Simon Adingra and Chemsdine Talbi will have a part to play, Le Bris needs to sacrifice one of them again to get Le Fee into his starting 11.

It was Adingra who made way last time, and given Talbi’s lack of involvement in the clash against Brentford, Adingra may be afforded another chance.

Sunderland can cause an upset against Crystal Palace

Given the fact that Sunderland are among the favourites for relegation, just about any victory this season will be classed as an upset, at least for now.

Le Bris has a very good Premier League squad, and one that is certainly capable of staying up.

However, to achieve that, Sunderland need to pick up points away from home, and will be looking to do that for the first time this season against Crystal Palace.

Deadline day signings Brian Brobbey and Lutsharel Geertruida could be involved from the bench, though there are unlikely to be many changes made to the starting 11.
