Regis Le Bris hints at next Sunderland transfer as Talbi plan outlined
Sunderland will be looking to make several more additions before the Premier League season starts.
The Black Cats have already made some serious progress in the transfer market, and with just short of a month remaining until the new campaign gets underway, there is still plenty of time for them to build on that even more.
Six new arrivals have checked in at the Stadium of Light so far, with Sunderland’s summer spending already surpassing the £100million mark.
Signing a centre back and a goalkeeper remain high up on the list of priorities, though Regis Le Bris seems to have his sights set on an addition elsewhere.

Sunderland looking to add several new attackers
Romaine Mundle underwent surgery over the weekend, in what can only be described as a major blow for Sunderland, who had identified Armand Lauriente as a target to subdue those concerns.
That deal fell through, though Le Bris still wants to see his side recruit another wide player, with a striker also on the cards.
In quotes reported by the Sunderland Echo (22 July), Le Bris said: “It’s not easy to do this, it’s the same for goalkeeper, striker, pivot… I don’t know. Every position is possible.

Chemsdine Talbi | Club Brugge |
Noah Sadiki | Union Saint-Gilloise |
Habib Diarra | Strasbourg |

Enzo Le Fee | Roma |
“It’s fair to say we will have a recruitment to make in this position. Simon [Adringra] has a good background in the Premier League, but if he’s alone in this position, we’ll struggle.
“Chemsdine [Talbi] is young and has many games, but is very young for the Premier League. So we’ll need to reinforce this part of the squad.”
The addition of another central midfielder is also on the cards for the Black Cats, who remain locked in talks over the transfer of Granit Xhaka.

Talbi must be managed by Sunderland
While Sunderland paid a decent amount of money for Talbi, his age and inexperience have to be considered.
He has shown glimpses of real quality in pre-season, without doing too much to impact a game.
With that said, at just 20 years old and having played just 90 minutes with his new teammates, that is to be expected, but it will be crucial that he is managed ahead of the new campaign.
