Regis Le Bris has solution to AFCON dilemma after what Under-21 star did in Sunderland vs Bilbao
Sunderland have yet another promising youngster rising through the ranks at the academy.
Sunderland are enjoying a spectacular campaign so far, and given the fact that they are set to lose a whole host of stars to AFCON in December, they had to.
Seven first-team players are set to jet away to represent their country, with many of them likely to go all the way given the nations they will be playing for.
With the likes of Dan Neil and Dennis Cirkin around the squad, Regis Le Bris already has some options for rotation there, but a new star is starting to emerge on the scene, and he could be afforded a chance once AFCON comes around.

Timur Tutierov is making a name for himself with Sunderland Under-21s
Sunderland’s academy has brought a lot of success over the years.
From Jordan Pickford to Jordan Henderson, the Black Cats have had some incredible footballers rise through the youth ranks on Wearside.
With Timur Tutierov, they have yet another star ready to burst onto the scene, and he was on the score sheet again for Sunderland’s Under-21s as they secured an emphatic victory over Bilbao in the Premier League International Cup.
His goal takes him up to eight for the season in just 11 appearances, with one assist to his name as well.
The 20-year-old Ukrainian can play centrally, but has more recently featured wide left for Sunderland, which is ideal for Le Bris.
The Black Cats are set to lose three of their four wingers to AFCON in December, and while Romaine Mundle’s return will be timely, Tutierov will almost certainly get a chance to showcase his worth at the senior level.
First team trio feature in Sunderland U21 triumph vs Bilbao
Aside from Tutierov making a case for a spot in the first team, the same can be said for three senior players who also featured.
Neil and Cirkin both scored in the victory, with Luke O’Nien also featuring as part of Graeme Murty’s backline.
Cirkin is just returning from an injury, while Neil and O’Nien have been forced to settle for roles as squad players as a result of the success found by Sunderland’s summer signings.
Neil, in particular, will get a chance to showcase whether or not he can make it in the Premier League, with Noah Sadiki, another who is set to star at AFCON.
