‘Regis Le Bris has major Wilson Isidor problem’ as playoffs loom at Sunderland
Regis Le Bris is likely to be growing increasingly concerned with Wilson Isidor, with just one game remaining of the Championship season.
The Frenchman looked to be an excellent pick-up when the Black Cats picked up the forward on an initial loan deal from Zenit.
This came as the French head coach witnessed a turn in form at the Stadium of Light, which has seen his side earn a playoff spot with ease in the second tier.
The north east outfit are now awaiting the beginning of the end-of-season tournament, but Le Bris will undoubtedly be worried about Isidor.

Isidor continues to faulter at Sunderland
There was so much hype around the 24-year-old in the opening weeks of the season that a permanent deal appeared to be a real coup.
This has seen the forward net 12 Championship goals while assisting an additional two, which may seem like a positive total, but it should be so much higher.
This comes as the former Monaco man has gone 12 games without a goal, last scoring in a 2-1 defeat away to Leeds United in February.
Date | Opponent | Minutes played | Goals | Assists |
26/04/25 | Oxford United | 90 | 0 | 0 |
21/04/25 | Blackburn | 90 | 0 | 0 |
18/04/25 | Bristol City | 29 | 0 | 0 |
12/04/25 | Swansea City | 21 | 0 | 0 |
08/04/25 | Norwich City | 89 | 0 | 0 |
Given that the playoffs are coming up, the striker really needs to fix that and get on the scoresheet if his side wants to earn a place in the Premier League.
Considering the Black Cats have lost four consecutive games, scoring just one, there is a chance for the Frenchman to make his presence known.
It is the job of Le Bris to get the most out of the likes of Isidor and Enzo Le Fee, with a huge chance of promotion staring them in the face.

Isidor must start and score v QPR
The Black Cats face QPR in SR5 on the final day of the season and will hope for a positive result ahead of a playoff run.
As it stands, Sunderland look set to face Bristol City in a two-legged clash, which will be no mean feat despite the Robins’ back-to-back defeats.
To secure a win in that tie, Isidor needs to be on song, and the best way to prepare him for that is to see him get on the scoresheet against the R’s.
It will certainly be interesting to see if the French forward can do that and whether a huge three points can be grabbed before the key games of the campaign.
