QPR fans all say same thing ahead of Sunderland showdown

QPR take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this weekend with the club in somewhat of a disarray.

The Londoners will make the trip to the Stadium of Light on Saturday (3 May) for the last match of the campaign.

It is a match with very little on the line for both teams, as the hosts have already secured a playoff position, while the visitors are sitting 15th in the table and safe from relegation.

Sunderland will be looking to put some momentum together heading into the playoffs, while there is a lot of behind-the-scenes drama taking place for QPR.

QPR are involved in late-season dramatics

QPR have placed manager Marti Cifuentes on gardening leave in a stunning turn of events right before the season ends.

That came amid widespread reports he was wanted by West Brom, but the Baggies have made clear their focus is not on the Spaniard.

Norwich are also in the hunt for a new manager, and have placed the QPR manager in their list of potential targets.

This would obviously lead to him leaving QPR to make that happen, in what would be a significant turnaround that people didn’t anticipate after being in charge of the London-based side this season.

QPR fans are unimpressed by the social media behaviour

Since the club announced the gardening leave, QPR fans have been wanting clarity and further answers to have the situation resolved as quickly as possible, even if that means their manager moving to West Brom before the season ends.

However, QPR’s social media has continued with a ‘business as usual’ approach, plugging different sponsorships and golfing days, much to the surprise of fans.

While the team are preparing to face Sunderland, and fans are stressing about the future, QPR’s social media showcases no sign of panic.

However, that doesn’t mean that it has had a calming impact on the fanbase, as supporters have shared their frustrations about the ongoing drama instead.
