Oxford United v Sunderland result predicted by supercomputer
Sunderland will be looking to return to winning ways ahead of their penultimate league game of the championship season.
Off the back of their 1-0 defeat against Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland have some serious improvements to make ahead of the final two games.
The Black Cats sealed their spot in the playoffs weeks ago, and performances have dropped as a result of that, with Sunderland winless in their last four encounters since.
Form isn’t necessarily vital to achieve playoff success, but Regis Le Bris will be keen to find some, and their trip to Oxford could provide them with the chance.

Sunderland need to get back to winning ways
Le Bris could look to enter playoff mode against Oxford, having used the last few encounters to rest the players that will be key to their promotion push.
The likes of Enzo Le Fee and Jobe Bellingham have had limited minutes, but that could change this weekend as he looks to get his side back to their best.
Championship | Result |

Bristol City | L |
Swansea | L |
Norwich | D |
However, according to the latest Opta supercomputer predictions, it may not go the way that the Frenchman would like.
Sunderland have a 43.7 per cent chance of a win, with a draw at a 25.2 per cent likelihood, making it the most likely outcome.
If the Black Cats come away with anything less than three points, it would do a little to help their ambitions of taking momentum into the playoffs next month.

Le Bris needs to get Sunderland back on track
Form can be important, as can player fitness, but arguably the most important factor behind playoff success is mentality, and a lot of that can stem from confidence.
Sunderland simply haven’t been playing with confidence over the last few weeks, and if that continues into the playoffs, regardless of results, it will immediately set them at a disadvantage.
Not only do the players need to have belief in their own ability, but fans do as well to help generate the atmosphere that could push Sunderland over the finish line and seal their return to the Premier League.
