Omar Alderete returns in two changes – Sunderland predicted XI vs Everton

Sunderland could make a few tactical tweaks to their starting 11 when they host Everton on Monday night.

Sunderland secured a 2-1 victory away to Chelsea last time out, which is a result that will comfortably go down as one of their best of the season should they avoid the drop.

As it stands, their chances of doing so are looking incredibly strong, with 17 points picked up from their first nine games.

However, in order to build on that, Regis Le Bris could make two changes to his starting 11 when Sunderland host Everton at the Stadium of Light.

Omar Alderete could return for Sunderland vs Everton

Robin Roefs‘ spot in the starting 11 is undeniable after his start to life in the Premier League, but there could be a change in front of him.

Omar Alderete missed the clash against Chelsea as a result of concussion protocol, but he could be brought back into the starting 11 in place of Dan Ballard.

Ballard may not deserve to be dropped, but a home clash against Everton is more likely to suit the Paraguayan’s ball-playing ability as opposed to Ballard’s aerial dominance.

He would be partnered by Nordi Mukiele, with Trai Hume and Reinildo starting on either side of the defence.

Lutsharel Geertruida could keep his place in the side, but in a slightly more advanced holding midfield role at the Stadium of Light.

It would see him form a midfield trio alongside Granit Xhaka and Noah Sadiki in possession, and potentially drop deeper to form a back five out of it.

Chemsdine Talbi has to start vs Everton

Chemsdine Talbi scored the winner for Sunderland against Chelsea, and his confidence will have increased significantly.

Starting him against the Toffees could improve Sunderland‘s chances of getting the best out of him, and he could replace Bertrand Traore on the right flank.

Enzo Le Fee worked his socks off at Stamford Bridge, in a display that certainly went under the radar, and will be more than deserving of his spot in the team.

As for the man leading the line, it has to be Wilson Isidor.

Isidor is having an excellent season, and after scoring his fourth of the season against Chelsea, he, like Talbi, will be full of confidence.
