O’Hara in hysterics at talkSPORT broadcaster ‘cave’ jibe during Sunderland v Leeds United preview

Jamie O’Hara and Jermaine Pennant were left in hysterics live on talkSPORT on Thursday night as Ian Danter was discussing Friday’s match between Sunderland and Leeds United.

The radio channel’s broadcaster featured on the Sports Bar [3 October, 23:40] hosted by the ex-pro duo in the studio, previewing the eagerly anticipated clash at the Stadium of Light.

The darkness surrounding Danter to on-screen YouTube viewers, however, was a point of hilarity for O’Hara and Pennant as they could not help but interject.

“Are you in a cave?”, Pennant laughed.

O’Hara added: “Are you alright? Have you been kidnapped – what’s going on here?! You under the stairs?”

Danter responded: “I’m just in my car and the interior light has gone off! It doesn’t have to be late at night for me to scare people.”

“You look like you’re on the moon!”, O’Hara quipped in the hilarious on-air exchange.

Sunderland head into Leeds clash as league leaders

Like Danter, Sunderland and Leeds will take to the darkness when they face off in a tantalising Friday night clash – but the Stadium of Light will provide a raucous atmosphere to glow up the occasion.

Regis Le Bris takes his side into the contest as Championship table-toppers, having beaten Derby County in midweek while West Brom faltered against Middlesbrough.

Leeds are injury-stricken with an already small squad, but Daniel Farke still has the benefit of some of the most exciting and established players in the EFL and will still be able to field a star-studded line-up on Wearside.

In stark contrast to the end of last season, the Black Cats have a new-found confidence which ensures they will go toe-to-toe with anyone in the division, and rarely show the naivety which has plagued the young squad at times in recent years.

This is the biggest test yet following a flying start, which has seen Sunderland remain without conceding a single home league goal. Another win and clean sheet might just get a few more talking.
