Norwich v Sunderland: Preview, team news, supercomputer prediction, kick-off time

Sunderland are once again on the road this Tuesday when they travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich City in their latest Championship fixture.

Fresh off another hard-fought 1-0 win, this time against fellow promotion hopefuls West Brom, there should be no shortage of confidence and belief within the Mackems’ group.

Sunderland have all but guaranteed a place in the playoffs for the end of the season, but they will be wanting to keep pushing until that is mathematically secured.

Plus, the Black Cats will want to take as much momentum as possible into that competition, which they will attempt to create via the final few matches of this season.

Norwich vs. Sunderland preview

Norwich are hoping to make a late surge for the playoffs, but the Canaries will need to take as many points as possible from their remaining fixtures to even stand a chance.

After losing against Plymouth Argyle during their last outing, there is very little margin for error as far as the hosts are concerned, adding an element of pressure to their performance.

That pressure doesn’t exist for Sunderland, especially after picking up consecutive clean sheets where Regis Le Bris’ men have proven their defensive capabilities.

However, they do have the opportunity to place some pressure on Leeds United above them following their latest slip-up, as Sunderland could make a late swoop to finish third.
