Noah Sadiki makes ‘unbelievable’ Sunderland admission after defeat vs West Ham
Sunderland look set for Premier League survival, and that is no doubt due to their excellent business in the summer.
Saturday’s game against West Ham did not go as planned, as Sunderland fell to a 3-1 defeat in the capital, but many of their summer signings stood out in a positive way.
Brian Brobbey’s 66th-minute strike, assisted by Nordi Mukiele, would end up being nothing more than a consolation goal as the Black Cats failed to overturn the three-goal deficit after half-time.
Noah Sadiki is another who can be proud for Sunderland, as his performance versus West Ham was one of the better on the day. That has been a common theme for the DR Congo international this season.
His performances for the Black Cats have unearthed interest from Manchester United for Sadiki, as well as the Sunderland fanbase putting a huge price tag on him.
However, right now the focus remains on this season, and despite Saturday’s loss, the midfielder admits there was one thing he was highly impressed by.
Noah Sadiki praises Sunderland fans during West Ham defeat
The travelling Sunderland fans would have been quite disappointed after making their way down from the north of England to London for a 12:30pm kick-off to see a 3-1 loss.
It was a long journey for the away fans, with many up in the early hours of the morning to make the trip.
Despite the tiredness the travel would bring and the early first-half setbacks, the Black Cats faithful were in fine form in the stands at the London Stadium, as noticed by Sadiki.

Sadiki, via the Sunderland Echo, said: “Our fans were unbelievable again.”
“They never stopped backing us, even when things weren’t going our way. We’re grateful for that support, and we’ll give everything to repay them in the next game.”
Brian Brobbey is becoming an important player for Sunderland
While the excellent showing from the fans was on the mind of Sadiki, Brobbey’s performance also did not go under the radar.
The midfielder praised the Dutch striker, hailing his impact over the last few weeks. He said, “Brian (Brobbey) getting his goal is a big positive, he’s been in good form and that’s his fifth of the season, which says a lot about his quality.”
It did take some time for the centre-forward to get going, as Brobbey did not start any of the Black Cats’ first 10 games after he joined on the transfer deadline.
However, in the last 10 Premier League matches, the 23-year-old has started nine of them.
Regis Le Bris is clearly beginning to trust the attacker, and it looks like he is now Sunderland’s first-choice striker.
| Brian Brobbey’s Premier League stats for Sunderland | Number |
| Appearances (Starts) | 18 (9) |
| Goals | 5 |
| Assists | 1 |
Brobbey has three goals in the last four games for the club, adding to a goal that made Premier League history for Sunderland in November.
The Black Cats are well among the battle for a European spot, and if the Dutchman finds the net as he has recently done, that dream might be closer than you think.
