Noah Sadiki injury exclusive: Sunderland star set to avoid recurrance after new diagnosis
Noah Sadiki has been one of the most influential signings of Sunderland’s summer transfer window.
Having started every Premier League game under Regis Le Bris this season, the 20-year-old midfielder has excelled in his first year alongside Granit Xhaka already.
Sunderland’s brilliant start to the season has come down to smart recruitment and astute tactical understanding, and the young midfielder has been a part of that every step of the way.
Sadiki picked up an ankle injury on international duty for DR Congo in October, yet after making a quick return to action, injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar believes it won’t be a future issue, thankfully.

Noah Sadiki won’t suffer any injury complications in the future
Sadiki joined the Black Cats for £14.6million after enjoying a brilliant season with Union Saint-Gilloise.
Sadiki was instrumental in securing Union Saint-Gilloise’s first Belgian league title since 1935, with the 20-year-old featuring in 55 games across all competitions.
- Sadiki joined Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023/24
- He played 108 matches over two seasons, winning three trophies at the club
- His standout performances earned him call-ups to the DR Congo national team
Despite suffering an injury that left fans worried, the 20-year-old returned to club action a week later in Sunderland’s 2-0 win over Wolves.
Speaking exclusively to Mackem News, injury expert Dr Brar has spoken about the fact that Sadiki is unlikely to suffer any major complications in future after his likely diagnosis.
He said: “If he was able to play that quickly, it was very likely just a grade 1 sprain.
“There is a chance for recurrence, but you do see players often playing through these just days later.”

Sadiki has become an important cog in Le Bris’ well-oiled machine, and this potential at Sunderland is sky-high.
Noah Sadiki’s fitness is vital to how Sunderland play
Sadiki has always shown promise as a youngster, moving up quickly from the Anderlecht academy to the first team before making a move across Brussels when he was 18.
What’s clear to see is that Sadiki is an incredibly fit and athletic midfielder who has not suffered a major injury in his career so far.
The talented youngster has started every Premier League game for Sunderland, and his qualities are becoming evident for Mackem fans to see each game.
Sadiki has a bright career ahead of him, and he’s proven that one of his greatest assets is his availability.
