Nectar Triantis to start mass Sunderland exodus amid Stadium of Light exit news
Nectar Triantis is one of a wealth of Sunderland players who could leave before the transfer window closes.
Promotion to the Premier League was the ultimate success, but some players will now pay the ultimate price.
Triantis has had interest from the Championship, but now it seems he is set to leave for lands further afield.
Indeed, his expected departure could open the floodgates, with many more expected to follow the midfielder.

Nectar Triantis agrees to join Minnesota United from Sunderland
Triantis recently changed his international allegiances from Australia to Greece, but that is not to be his only switch this summer.
Last season, the 22-year-old enjoyed a second loan stint at Hibernian, where he drew plaudits for his performances.
While there was talk of a potential impact at Sunderland, promotion essentially ended that discussion.
Now, Triantis has agreed a permanent move to Minnesota United before the close of the MLS transfer deadline, according to Peter O’Rourke on 21 August.

There are a host of other players on the fringes at the Stadium of Light, meaning more exits are expected.
- Alan Browne – Browne could leave Sunderland for the Championship, where he has thrived
- Blondy Nna Noukeu – Is Sunderland’s fourth-choice goalkeeper, and has been linked with a move away this summer
- Joe Anderson – Has never really gotten going since signing from Everton, and needs minutes
- Leo Hjelde – Popular figure on Wearside, but influx of left-backs could force him out; he is currently out injured
- Timothee Pembele – Never lived up to the hype after signing from PSG and left on loan last season
- Milan Aleksic – Once Kyril Louis-Dreyfus’ record signing, but could leave on loan
- Jay Matete – Enjoyed several EFL loan moves and is surplus to requirements
- Abdoullah Ba – Showed glimpses in the Championship, but not Premier League quality
- Ian Poveda – Was never a wise signing and has predictably flattered to deceive
- Ahmed Abdullahi – Yet to make an appearance due to injury, and could leave on loan this summer
- Luis Hemir Semedo – Has not looked up to standard and spent last term on loan with Juventus Next Gen
The list is long, and while it is unlikely that all of those players could leave, there could be vast departures from the Stadium of Light.
