Mitrovic ‘to take massive pay cut’ for shock Sunderland transfer as contact made
Sunderland could make their tenth signing of the summer in Al-Hilal striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The Black Cats are set to announce Marc Guiu’s move on loan from Chelsea, with the 19-year-old completing his medical.
Mitrovic has been linked with a move to the Stadium of Light, with Premier League clubs being given the opportunity to sign him.
Now the Wearside outfit have been contacted to sign the Serbia international from the Saudi Pro League outfit, but there’s a catch.

Sunderland can’t match £400,000-a-week Mitrovic salary
Sunderland have been offered a chance to sign Mitrovic from Al-Hilal this summer, according to The Chronicle.
The news outlet reports in its print edition (6 August, page 44) that the Black Cats could complete a potential deal for the 30-year-old at the Stadium of Light.
It’s been claimed that the Saudi Pro League outfit are looking to sign a high-profile striker in the coming weeks, indicating that the former Newcastle United forward may be on his way to England.
Mitrovic earns £400,000 a week and may have to take a massive pay cut to join the Wearside outfit, as his current salary is out of Sunderland’s reach.

How can Regis Le Bris use Mitrovic?
Eliezer Mayenda will extend his stay at Sunderland and put pen to paper on a deal until 2030.
Wilson Isidor is the other forward who Le Bris will certainly count on to help the Black Cats avoid immediate relegation from the Premier League next season.
The French manager mainly relied on his two strikers to score goals at the Stadium of Light last season, and they could add more threat up front before the end of August.
Sunderland approached Dominic Calvert-Lewin recently, but the former Everton ace rejected an offer from the Wearside outfit.

It’s clear that the Black Cats are looking for a new number nine, and Mitrovic could potentially be the perfect player to have a short-term impact at the Stadium of Light due to his prior Premier League experience.
The 30-year-old scored 14 goals in the English top flight before moving to Al-Hilal, where he has continued his prolific form.
While it would be a shock for Newcastle fans to see one of their past players in red and white stripes, supporters in SR5 will certainly hope for his arrival.
