Milan Aleksic to leave Sunderland as transfer details emerge from overseas
Sunderland allowed several players to leave the North East before the transfer deadline.
However, deals have still been going ahead after the English deadline, with Nazariy Rusyn leaving the Stadium of Light on a season-long loan.
Another player who was expected to leave Sunderland was Milan Aleksic, given the competition for places in Regis Le Bris’ squad.
Now, that appears to be coming to fruition as the 20-year-old closes on a move away from the Premier League.

Milan Aleksic to join Nazariy Rusyn in Poland
Aleksic endured some difficult performances in Sunderland’s pre-season while auditioning for Le Bris’ squad.
In truth, the midfielder was always going to be hard-pressed to land a place in his manager’s side, given the raft of incoming players.
Details have emerged that Aleksic’s proposed move from Sunderland to Partizan fell through because the two teams failed to reach an agreement.
However, in a fresh turn of events, the midfielder is now primed to leave the Stadium of Light.
- Aleksic signed for around £3.1million
- He has made 10 appearances for the Wearsiders
- The 20-year-old has one goal and one assist to his name
That is because the Serbian will join Polish outfit Cracovia, according to Tomasz Wlodarczyk on 5 September.
The editor-in-chief of Meczykipl reports that Aleksic is already in Poland, with the deal a loan with an option to buy.

Has Milan Aleksic played his final game for Sunderland?
While the Serbian is set to leave on an initial loan, there is every chance that Cracovia could make the switch permanent.
Even if Aleksic performs well for the Polish side, it is hard to imagine a place for him within Le Bris’ Premier League side.
Yes, the midfielder is young and was signed as a prospect for the future, but that was when the Black Cats were in the Championship.
Given that Enzo Le Fee, Chris Rigg, and Harrison Jones can play in his role, it feels like his time could be up on Wearside.
However, if the deal goes through, the best thing that Aleksic can do is produce his best football and give Sunderland something to ponder.
